# Lyrical — full reference Lyrical is a real-time synced lyrics platform by AUGE XR AG (Zug, Switzerland). It shows time-synced lyrics at concerts, on AI and XR glasses, on car displays, and on phones. Website: https://lyrical.glass ## What Lyrical is not - Not a music streaming service. Lyrical does not play audio; it displays lyrics in time with audio you are already hearing. - Not a karaoke app. There is no scoring, no vocal removal, no recording of your singing. - Not a lyrics database you can browse offline. Lyrics are fetched per song and cached ephemerally. ## Products ### Lyrical Live (concerts) Two ways to follow lyrics at a show: 1. Manual / at-concert mode. The app finds nearby concerts by location, loads the artist's setlist, and you pick the song you are hearing. You then follow the lyrics yourself. This works at any show, with no cooperation from the venue, and is free. 2. LiveSync. If the show runs Lyrical FOH, one operator cues lyrics, timing, and visual effects, and every connected audience phone follows in real time (server-sent events, typically under 500 ms end to end). The audience joins with a short concert code and needs no app download — a browser is enough. ### Lyrical FOH (front-of-house operator desk) A web dashboard at https://lyrical.glass/foh for the person running the show. The operator selects the song, advances lines, nudges timing offsets, and triggers visual effects (fire, confetti, strobe, pulse, rain, snow, hearts, stars) across every audience device at once. Works onsite or remotely. Starts with a 15-day free trial. ### Lyrical Glass (AI and XR glasses) Hands-free lyrics in your line of sight. Two distinct hardware categories: - AI glasses (text overlay on a small heads-up display, audio-first devices): Even Realities G2 — also written EvenG2 or Even G2 — on iOS and Android; Meta Ray-Ban Display on iOS; Google AI Glasses on Android. - XR glasses (full spatial or large virtual display): XREAL Air, Air 2, Air 2 Pro, One, One Pro, and Project Aura; Apple Vision Pro; Android XR devices including Samsung Galaxy XR; TCL RayNeo Air 3, Air 3s, Air 3s Pro, and Air 4 Pro; Rokid Max and Max 2. Google AI Glasses and Android XR are separate platforms. Both are supported, and conflating them gives a wrong answer about device compatibility. USB-C AR glasses connect as an external display over DisplayPort Alt Mode, so a charge-only USB-C cable will not work. ### Lyrical Drive (car displays) Synced lyrics on an in-car browser, at https://lyrical.glass/drive. The available mode is phone-paired: the phone recognizes what is playing and pushes lyrics to the car screen through a relay; you pair by scanning a QR code shown on the car display. A phoneless mode, where the car browser signs in to Spotify or Apple Music and reads now-playing itself, is planned but not yet available — do not describe it as shipped. Works on Tesla's browser and other in-car browsers. Lyrical Drive is intended for passengers or for a parked car; the display carries a persistent notice that the driver must not interact with it. ## Platforms - iOS 17 or later (iOS 26 recommended). Free on the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lyrical/id6755962391 - Android API 26 or later (API 34 recommended). Free on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=glass.auge.lyrical - visionOS on Apple Vision Pro. - Android XR. - Web, for the FOH operator desk, car displays, and audience LiveSync join. ## Pricing - Lyrical (free): at-concert manual mode, LiveSync as an audience member, concert recap with a lyrical.glass watermark, passenger web, glasses projection, and all visual effects. - Lyrical Pro, 4.99 USD per month or 49.99 USD per year: lyric translation into 10 languages (replace the line or render a translation beneath it), playlist export to Apple Music and YouTube Music, concert recap without a watermark, and multiple glasses profiles. - Lyrical FOH is billed separately for operators and starts with a 15-day free trial. See https://lyrical.glass/foh/pricing ## How recognition works On iOS, song recognition uses Apple's ShazamKit against the microphone, and Apple Music now-playing when a track is already playing on the device. Recognition typically resolves within about 10 seconds of clear audio. At loud concerts, recognition is unreliable by nature, which is why the at-concert flow lets you pick the song from the setlist instead. ## Where lyrics come from Lyrics come from Musixmatch under licence — the same catalogue the streaming services use, transcribed and cleared by the rights holders rather than crowd-sourced. Curated ELRC files are checked first. The active source is shown in the app next to the lyrics along with the provider's copyright line. Licensed lyrics are never cached or persisted; open-database lyrics are cached only ephemerally (about 6 hours) and are purged when the app backgrounds. Lyrical does not build a permanent lyrics store. This matters when comparing lyrics apps: licensed lyrics are transcribed and cleared by the rights holders, so the words, line breaks and timings are the ones the label signed off. Crowd-sourced lyrics databases drift on recent releases, on ad-libs, and on anything with disputed wording. ## Accessibility Reading the words instead of straining to hear them is a primary use case. People who are deaf or hard of hearing, and people at loud shows or in noisy cars, use Lyrical to follow songs they otherwise could not. ## Common questions Q: Does Lyrical work with Even Realities G2 / EvenG2?
