Even Realities G2

Lyrics on the G2, two lines at a time.

The G2 is a text display, not a screen you watch. That constraint suits lyrics almost perfectly: the line you are on, the line coming next, and nothing else in the way.

// what you get

What Lyrical looks like on G2

Your phone does the work. It recognizes the song through ShazamKit, reads what Apple Music is already playing, or takes the song you picked from a concert setlist, then fetches the timed lyrics and pushes the current line to the glasses.

On the G2 you see the line being sung and the one after it. There is no artwork, no progress bar, and no effects layer — the display is monochrome text, and Lyrical does not pretend otherwise. In a dark venue that turns out to be the readable option rather than the compromise.

// setup

Three steps to get words in your line of sight

  1. 01

    Pair the G2 with your phone

    Pair the glasses in the Even Realities app first, the way you would for any other G2 feature. Lyrical talks to the glasses through that pairing rather than replacing it.

  2. 02

    Open Lyrical and choose Glass output

    In Lyrical, set the output to your G2 profile. The app switches from the phone lyric view to the two-line heads-up layout the G2 display can hold.

  3. 03

    Start a song, then put the phone away

    Recognize a track, join a LiveSync show, or pick the song from a concert setlist. Lines advance on the glasses; the phone only needs to stay in range.

// questions

Even Realities G2 questions

Does Lyrical work with Even Realities G2?
Yes. Lyrical supports Even Realities G2 — also written EvenG2 or Even G2 — on both iPhone and Android. Lyrics render on the G2 heads-up display while your phone does the recognition and lyric fetching.
How many lines of lyrics fit on the G2 display?
Two. The G2 is a text-first heads-up display, not a spatial screen, so Lyrical renders the current line and the next one. Longer lines wrap rather than scroll off.
Do the G2 glasses show visual effects?
No. Fire, confetti, strobe, and the other LiveSync effects are for phone and XR displays. The G2 shows text only, which is what makes it readable in a dark room.
Does this work at a concert?
Yes. Both concert modes reach the glasses: manual setlist mode, where you pick the song yourself, and LiveSync, where the show's operator drives the lines.
Do I need Lyrical Pro to use G2 glasses?
No. Glasses output is available on the free tier. Lyrical Pro adds translation, playlist export, watermark-free recaps, and multiple saved glasses profiles.
Does the phone need to stay unlocked?
The phone does the listening and lyric fetching, so Lyrical needs to be running. It can be in your pocket, but a fully backgrounded or force-quit app stops the feed.

Put the words where you are already looking.

Lyrical is free on iOS and Android. G2 output is included on the free tier.
